FAQs

Storage & Care

Is condensation normal?

Condensation happens across all brands and models due to Singapore's climate when the warmer external air touches the cooler glass surface of the door.

Not to be alarmed, you can easily wipe off the water. To reduce the condensation, an option is to increase the temperature of the wine fridge alternatively.

If you would like to consider something without condensation issue, consider the solid door collection or heated door collection.

How much space would I need for my fridge?

For freestanding models, we would recommend leaving as much space as possible, or a gap of at least 10cm on each sides of the fridges to allow sufficient space for airflow around the unit.

For front venting models, we would recommend leaving at least 2-3cm around and back.

For integrated models, please follow the specifications drawings in the product. Please reach out to us for any queries.

How can I clean my wine fridge?

You may use a damp cloth to wipe the insides and outsides of your wine fridge and use a dry cloth after to dry the surfaces. Please minimise water contact with any electrical parts.

Types of Wine Fridges

Freestanding vs Built in Wine Fridges

Freestanding wine fridges are designed to stand alone, without pushing it under a counter or into a carpentry space. It should be well ventilated as heat escapes from the back.

Built-in wine fridge can be identified through front vents where the heat escapes and are designed to be installed under counter or cabinet.

Integrated fridges are built-in fridges where you will be able to clad a door panel over the unit itself.

Single vs Dual Zones

A single zone wine fridge allows you to set one temperature throughout the fridge. This is ideal for consumers whose collection mainly contain only one type of wine or consumer whose collection are mixed but uses it more for storage rather than daily serving.

A dual/triple zone wine fridge has 2/3 cooling zones respectively. As such, you will be able to set 2/3 different temperatures in each zone, this is ideal for consumers whose collection is rather mixed and uses it for daily serving.

Multi zone refers to fridges that allow you to set the max and minimum temperatures. The top and bottom of the fridge will be the set temperature while the in between are gradual increment in between the set temperatures.

Compressor vs Thermoelectric

The temperature thermoelectric wine chillers can go down to depends on the external environment and in Singapore's climate, it could typically only go down to about 16°C and would only be suitable for storing reds. Compressor fridges, on the other hand, can go down to lower temperatures and tend to be more durable than thermoelectrics.
